Kirsten Dehmlow, CLD, CCCE
My passion for birth came from the births of my own children. I believe that birth is natural, normal, and life changing. My desire is to provide you with the knowledge of how capable you are and the choices you have regarding the birth of your baby. It is a precious event that you will always remember. I am blessed to be able to support families during their inspired beginning!
Kari Gallinger
I am an experienced birth doula, wife and mother of four boys. Over the past several years it has been an honor to support pregnant women and their partners as they navigate pregnancy and birth. It was not long after my own birth experiences that I began working with birthing women in addition to offering in-home postpartum support for families in Iowa and then Colorado. As much as I make myself available for the mother, I also ensure that the father is feeling equally supported. Through providing hands-on, informational and emotional support I hope to create a safe space for women to labor, couples to bond and families to be born.
Liz Green, CMT
I am dedicated to educating mothers and birth partners about their pregnancy and labor options. With the right support and information, every mother is capable of making the choices necessary to have a happy, healthy pregnancy, labor and motherhood. I’ve been told I have a strong, calm presence, as well as an intuition on how to assist during birth. As a massage therapist specializing in prenatal, labor and postpartum massage, I bring a unique perspective on ways to relax and manage pain during the labor process.
Caroline Hampsey, CD(DONA)
Pregnancy, birth and becoming a new family is an incredibly special time in a woman’s life. What a sweet honor it is for me to serve in her (and her partner’s) life during this magical time. I truly enjoy offering childbirth education, helping to build confidence, excitement and coping skills in preparation for birth. I have taken many training workshops which I incorporate into my skill set as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. My deepest wish, aside from healthy baby and mother, is for a woman to feel richly empowered through her birth experience no matter how the process unfolds.
Heidi Hennigan
Heidi is a Christian mother of 4 children. Heidi’s desire to be a doula started as a small child, but her true passion for this work began with a friend’s 8th birth in 2004. Since then, Heidi has worked as a birth doula in Texas, Germany, North Carolina and now in Colorado. Heidi has worked with many military families, including mothers without partners. Heidi has been a birth doula since 2004. She is trained with DONA International and TOLABOR. Heidi has a knowledge of homeopathic remedies for pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum (with care provider’s permission only).
Melissa Kleinman, CD(DONA)
As a DONA certified doula and mother of two beautiful girls, I have always had a passion for babies and childbirth. Always supporting friends and families during their pregnancies and births, I believe that all women have the right to unconditional support for their birth experience. I was so happy a few years ago when I realized I could support women for a living! Empowering women and families with education and information is important, as it allows them to make a decision based on facts not fear. I support women with their choices for birth, pain control, privacy, and anything else they may need. I have attended a variety of births using natural pain control, labors needing medication, hypnobirthing, waterbirth and cesarean birth. All births are beautiful and all families deserve support!
Sara Krafft
After the transformative birth of my daughter at MMC in 2009, I embarked on my journey as a birth worker. I have attended CAPPA’s birth and postpartum doula trainings. I am nearing the end of the certification process for both. I believe a well supported, birth educated, and nurtured birthing woman can manifest the birth of her dreams!! I have expierence with visualizations, birth mantras, and specialty diets. My passion for the birth process, postpartum period and families led me to this work. I believe this is my purpose on Earth.
Ann Lipofsky, RN, BSN, CLD
Whether this is your first child or you’ve given birth before, you probably know that a calm, natural birth can be a joyful and profound experience. As an RN and massage therapist, I offer encouraging, skilled and compassionate support to help you have your ideal birth. Having assisted in the birth of over 60 babies, including twins, and having served hundreds of women during labor and the immediate postpartum period, I understand the birthing process. I will support you, and anyone whom you choose to attend your birth, to welcome your newborn in the most loving way possible. I believe that empowering women and their families through education, and offering good, old-fashioned tender loving care is the formula for your best possible birth experience.
Kimberly Laurie
I feel blessed and called to be a Doula. I believe in bringing babies into the world in the most organic way possible while trusting in womens’ bodies and the process of birth. I accept that things can change and I offer an open mind and heart to going along with the flow. My support is loving and non judgmental. I believe in a strong client/doula relationship and I find myself overwhelmed with pride by my families after they give birth. I feel great respect, confidence and strength are the tools to share with mothers to help them discover their own internal space, voice, strength, and their personal path during birth and motherhood. I am a trained doula through CAPPA and have been accepted into the nursing program at Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge.
Anne Litwinski
My previous clients have described me as “calm”, “gentle”, and “extremely helpful”. I am a mom and former elementary school teacher who has found a new passion in birthwork and helping growing families. I found this passion during my own experiences with pregnancy, doula-assisted birth, and post-partum adjustment. In my opinion, any birth experience can be a path to empowerment and growth, with the presence of loving and unconditional support. I am pursuing Birth Doula certification through DONA, and constantly look for new opportunities to grow and build my skills as a doula. I pride myself on being an affordable, inclusive doula who offers skilled emotional and physical support for her clients.
Erica Lundgren, CLD
I was led into becoming a Doula during my first pregnancy, and the joy that I find from assisting families during their own journey has only grown since then. I’ve had 2 very different birth experiences – 1 in the hospital, and 1 at MMC, and I think that these experiences have made me very open-minded towards other womens choices. I see my role as your Doula as being support for both you and your partner, and as a calm and confident presence for your birth environment. I love being a mother and Doula, and I would be honored to be present for your birth!
Lisa Mahnke, CLD
I was inspired to become a Doula after the hospital and birth center births of my 4 beautiful daughters. I believe that every family is unique and each has their own beliefs of ideal birth. I will provide you with information for smooth communication with your care givers, as well as support the entire family emotionally and physically, so that you will feel empowered to achieve your ideal birth.
Rebekah Maurer, CLD
I believe the woman’s body was intricately designed to give birth. As a doula I encourage mommies to believe in who she is and the grand design and intelligence of her body to give birth naturally. I embrace and fully support women on their journey into motherhood. I believe that pregnancy is a time for a woman to reconnect with her mind, body and spirit and connect with baby.
Whitney Nichols
I help to empower the mother/family to have the birth experience they desire. I believe in empowering families to make choices from a place of education and strength rather than fear. I believe in women’s bodies and their ability to have joyful births. I provide support, comfort and education during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. What this means to each family varies, some need more meetings before birth, others after. All pre- and post-natal appointments are included and my fee remains the same regardless of how long labor lasts.
Robbie Person, CD(DONA)
I have a passion for birth passed on from my great-grandmother who was a midwife in the early 1900′s. I believe women have the right to choose how and where to birth their children and whom to have present. I believe through education of the birth process, information about what to expect of your body and emotions and continuing support, you can have your best possible birth. My goal as a doula is to provide women and their partners with emotional and physical encouragement and comfort during labor and birth. I will offer guidance, reassurance and information where I am qualified.
Jessica Potter, CLD
I live in Aurora, CO with my husband and two children, and was a Mountain Midwifery mom for both. I view birth as a truly amazing event, one that not only brings a baby into the world, but a new family as well. It is my aim to help moms-to-be start the journey by having the birth experience that they desire, be it in a home, birthing center, or hospital. My goal is to equip each mom I serve with physical, informational, and emotional support as she looks forward to the birth of her baby, and be a comforter and encourager to her and her partner during the labor process.
Misty Rauscher, CLD
Misty is a CAPPA certified doula and loving mother of three. She works diligently to help a woman discover what she believes to be most important during childbirth and provides loving support as the mother then pursues her childbirth goals. Misty believes that if a woman is empowered with the right tools and support, the process of giving birth can be a joyful, transformative experience. Misty has the ability to create trust and cooperation among care providers, and make your partner feel at ease. Labor is hard work, but Misty is committed to coming alongside you and making your experience a memory you will cherish.
Heidi Roark, CLD
I am passionate about birth, motherhood and walking with families as they embark upon the journey of parenthood. I am a trained Labor Doula with CAPPA and am a trained counselor. I believe in education and choices surrounding birth and breastfeeding and believe natural birth offers women and babies a healthy and strong beginning in life. Every woman should be given the opportunity to make her birthing preferences fit her convictions and situation. I have been working with families the past 20 years, and I am the mother of 2 sons and 2 daughters and love being a wife and mother and a doula!
Heather Thompson, PhD, CPD, LE(CAPPA)
I believe all new families possess a natural rhythm and inner wisdom that can make the process of bringing home a new baby less stressful and more fun. As a postpartum doula, I provide compassionate support and education to help new families follow their own unique style in the early postpartum period. My background in physiology and nutrition as well as the birth and parenting experiences of my own two children continually shape my understanding of how to best assist others with their own parenting challenges. I am particularly passionate about helping parents achieve their own balance between work and parenthood.
